Condition

Original canvas. The canvas undulates slightly at the lower centre and there is a small push to the left and to the right of centre, but the canvas otherwise appears sound. There are some very small scuffs and scratches to the extreme edges of the work, most noticeably to the centre of the upper left edge, as well as a few minor scuffs elsewhere, in line with the work being unframed. There is a light layer of surface dirt to the work. Subject to the above, the work appears in very good overall condition. Examination under UV light reveals a few small isolated spots of retouching to the top of the extreme left edge and to the light green pigment in the upper left quadrant. The work is presented unframed. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
