Provenance

Gimpel Fils, London, where acquired by the family of the present owner, May 1962

Condition

The sheet is attached to the mount with tape around all four edges. The sheet undulates slightly in places but otherwise appears sound. There is a slight push to the sheet in the upper right quadrant. There are some tiny lines of craquleure and some studio detritus to a spot of blue gouache near the centre of the composition. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in excellent overall condition, with fresh, bright colours throughout. The work is window mounted and housed in a painted wooden frame, held under glass. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
