Condition
The edges of the board are secured with pinned thin wooden slips, possibly by the Artist, but is otherwise sound. There are a few very tiny, minor flecks of loss - including one to the lower left vertical edge and one towards the centre of the lower horizontal edge. There are fine horizontal lines of craquelure which are in line with the grain of the wood, with a small area of lifting towards the vertical edge of the upper right quadrant. Subject to the above the work is in excellent overall condition.
Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a small area of possible retouching at the vertical edge of the upper right quadrant.
The work is held within a simple gilt painted composition frame with a brown velvet central panel.
