Condition
The sheet undulates slightly but otherwise appears sound. The sheet is attached to the mount with tape at each of the upper corners and at the centre of the upper edge, but is not laid down. The edges of the sheet are deckled and there is a very slight crease/tear at the centre of the left vertical edge, not visible in the present mount. There are some losses to the gouache on the violinist's face and to her left hand, with some further small flecks of loss visible elsewhere. There are also some extremely tiny flecks of loss to the ink in places. The pigments have discoloured slightly, and there is slight time-staining evident to the sheet, most visible about the edges. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition.
The work is window mounted and presented in a simple painted wooden frame, held under glass.
