Condition
Original canvas. There is a small repair to the canvas towards the right side of the lower horizontal edge, with a corresponding patch to the reverse, the patch measuring approximately 1½in. in length, but otherwise the canvas appears sound. There are one or two small pinholes apparent towards the lower left vertical edge, and there is a small spot of uneveness to the canvas near the centre of the right vertical edge, with a tiny possible fleck of resulting paint loss. There is some surface dirt, studio detritus and matter in places, most apparent to the darker flower and in the upper left corner. There is some very minor rubbing to some of the outer edges of the canvas in places. There is a light scuff to the lighter flower. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals an extremely minor area of fluorescence surrounding the aforementioned repaired tear, only visible upon very close inspection, but this excepting there are no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
Unframed.
