Condition

The sheet has been affixed with tabs in several places to the backing card. The sheet appears sound. The left, upper and lower edges of the sheet are deckled. There are pinholes apparent in the corners of the sheet, thought to be in keeping with the artist's working method. There is a small, old loss to the tip of the sheet at the upper right corner, and a very light crease at the lower right corner. There is some discolouration and evidence of an old mount apparent around the edges, with some very slight associated wear to the sheet in places, most apparent at the upper left and upper edges. There may be some very light surface dirt in places. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition. The work is float mounted and presented in a simple wooden frame, held under glass. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
