Catalogue Note
Despite its condition, this is a sample of extremely attractive script from what must have been a very grand and elegant lectern Bible written in two columns, with minims c.6mm tall. The ampersand and tironian symbol are used interchangeably for ‘et’, and there is no ‘biting’ of letters.
