Description

  • A smiling man, holding a glass of wine at a table, with salami, turnips, cheese, bread, figs, melon and a carafe in a cooling bucket.
  • oil on canvas

Condition

The canvas has a modern glue relining which is flat and stable. The painting appears to have been recently restored and there is extensive feathered retouching throughout the canvas, perhaps attending to abrasion, though this is not visible to the naked eye and only apparent under UV. The painting requires no further work and is ready to hang in its present state. Offered in a black and gilt wood frame.
