Condition
The painting presents a lovely, clear image and the paint surface is clean beneath a fresh, even varnish. The copper support is flat and in good condition with a few spots of green deposit on the reverse.
Inspection under UV reveals very minor pin prick retouches at the lateral edges and here and there in the back ground. There are minor retouches to the shadow on the glass and to a small hairline scratch through the calf of the kneeling angel. Otherwise the painting appears to be largely untouched and requires no further work and is ready to display.
Offered unframed.
