Condition
A fairly recent glue relining is firm and stable and the painting is presentable as is. The paint surface has been slightly pressed in the aforementioned relining, but overall the detail is nicely preserved and the painting reads well. Under UV light: there is inpainting of craquelure on face, chest, left arm and hands. Other retouches can be seen scattered in hair, costume, foliage and curtain. There is no need for further work and painting can be hung as is.
In an elaborately carved and gilt wood frame with some minor nicks.
