Description

Designed as a butterfly, the body set with a button shaped pearl and a baroque drop shaped natural pearl measuring approximately 14.40 x 12.55 x 9.00mm, the eyes highlighted with cushion-shaped rubies, the wings set with circular-cut diamonds, step-cut emeralds and cushion-shaped rubies. 

Condition

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin is required before the import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 85458, stating that the baroque drop shaped pearl measuring approximately 14.40 x 12.55 x 9.00mm and weighing 11.78 carats, was found to be natural, freshwater, that as for many natural pearls, the surface of this pearl has been partly worked, and that the button shaped blister pearl has not been tested. Pearl of white body colour, with rosé and green overtones, with good skin and lustre, surface partly worked; for further details on the pearl, please refer to the SSEF report. Blister pearl with scratches and growth marks. Rubies well matched in colour, purplish red of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions, abrasions and nicks. Emeralds well matched in colour, with good transparency, some typical surface reaching inclusions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 8.00 - 9.00 carats, on average G-H colour, SI-I clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Signs of normal wear to the metal. In very good condition.
