Description
- Alexandrite, Diamond, Platinum
Centring on an oval alexandrite weighing approximately 4.55 carats, flanked on each side by an oval diamond, to the circular-cut diamond shoulders, the diamonds together weighing approximately 1.50 carats, mounted in platinum. Ring size: 6½
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to the AGL report, the alexandrite is natural, of Brazilian origin, with no gemmological evidence of enhancements/treatments, shows prominent colour-change and the quality of colour-change is excellent. Please refer to the report for detalls. In our opinion, the alexandrite is of deep tone, eye-clean, and shows very strong colour change from blue-green in the daylight to red-purple in the incandescent light. Under the 10x loupe inspection, there are minor typical inclusions with one surface reaching to the crown facet, a few tiny pits at the facet junctions, but all not visible to the naked eye. The diamonds are about H to I colour, VS to SI1 clarity.
Condition: Platinum ring mount, with minor hairline scratches, otherwise in very good condition.
