Condition

The sheet is fully laid down onto a backing card. The sheet appears sound. There is a loss and a repaired tear to the sheet at the lower left corner. The right vertical edge is perforated, with one or two small tears, consistent with the sheet having been taken from a sketchbook. There is a crease along the lower horizontal edge, one running the height of the sheet at the right edge, and one in the upper right corner, all of which are only visible when viewed unframed. There is adhesive from an old strip of sellotape at the right vertical edge, only visible when viewed out of the frame. There is some time staining and one or two tiny spots of foxing to the sheet, and some discolouration along the upper horizontal edge, the latter of which is only visible when viewed unframed. There is some surface dirt to the work and a slight scuff at the lower centre of the sheet. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition, with strong, fresh passages of pencil. The work is window mounted and presented in a painted wooden frame, held under glass.
