Condition

The sheet appears to be adhered around the edges to a backing card. The sheet undulates slightly but otherwise appears sound. When viewed out of the frame, it is possible to see that the sheet has been cut slightly unevenly in the upper left corner, and towards the right of the lower horizontal edge the deckled edge of the sheet is visible. There is a small soft crease towards the lower left vertical edge, with one or two further very small light creases elsewhere. There is some discolouration to the sheet towards the edges, and a very small spot of foxing in the lower left quadrant. There are one or two tiny specks of surface dirt. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition, with strong, fresh chalk throughout. The work is presented in a painted wooden frame, held under glass. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
