Condition
The sheet appears to be fully laid down onto a backing sheet. The sheet appears sound. There are several very small repaired tears apparent to the right vertical edge of the sheet, and one possible very small repaired tear in the lower left corner, only partially visible in the present mount. The edges of the sheet are uneven in the upper left corner and along the lower horizontal edge, and there are one or two very minor scuffs and nicks around the edges of the sheet, not visible in the present mount. There are one or two slight creases and handling marks apparent to the sheet, most apparent to the right of the marcassin's hind legs. There is some very slight surface dirt in places, with some faint speckles in the lower right corner, and there are some extremely small scattered spots of foxing in places. The sheet may be slightly discoloured, most apparent towards the edges, and not visible in the current mount. There is a scratch to the marcassin's left front leg, which may be inherent to the work. Subject to the above the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
The work is window mounted and presented in a simple wooden frame, held under glass.
Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
