Condition

The sheet is affixed to the mount with tape along the upper horizontal edge. There is a very small repaired tear to the left side of the lower horizontal edge, and around this to the reverse one of the upper layers of the sheet appears to have been torn away, so that the sheet is slightly thinner at that point. There are one or two soft creases around the edges of the sheet, and an extremely tiny tear at the left vertical edge, only visible when viewed out of the frame, but otherwise the sheet appears sound. The right vertical edge of the sheet is perforated, thought to be inkeeping with the artist's working materials, and only visible when viewed out of the frame. There is some discolouration around the edges of the sheet, only visible when viewed out of the frame. There are one or two spots of light foxing, and some very light surface dirt towards the lower horizontal edge and on the reverse of the sheet. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition. The work is window mounted and presented in a wood and plastic frame, held under glass. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
