Catalogue Note

This elegant, caramel patina mammoth tusk dates back to the Middle and Upper Paleolithic era until the extinction of the Neanderthals more than 12,000 years ago. The mammoth, the largest land mammal of all time, boasts two impressive tusks which augment the imagined prowess of this mythic-like creature. Originating from the extensive regions of modern-day Russia, this naturally curved mammoth tusk is intact and exceptionally rare, as is any specimen of the extinct animal.
