- Zitan wood (pterocarpus santalinus)
the top inset with a square zitan panel within a huanghuali frame with moulded edges, each side of the waisted apron pierced and inset with a cartouche fashioned from boxwood and reticulated with leafy scrolls, with two further pierced trefoils to either side, the cabriole legs extending to a foot stretcher of curvilinear outline enclosing a circular base, the wood of a deep red tone
