This work is in good condition overall. The canvas is unlined and well-stretched, the colors are vibrant, and the media layer appears stable. Light wear and frame abrasion are present along each of the extreme edges of the canvas. Isolated areas of fine craquelure are present in the impasto areas of both lower quadrants of the work, which appear stable. Under ultraviolet examination, fluorescing occurs. Specifically, three isolated spots of inpainting become apparent in the upper right quadrant on the breast of the figure. Two additional areas of inpainting each measuring one inch in length are present in the lower right quadrant in the base of the mountain.
