the silver parcel-gilt hilt carved with palmette-shaped pommel, s-curved handle and blossom terminals, curved watered-steel blade with flat edge and central grooves, the openwork silver scabbard featuring cartouches of hunting animals amidst a dense foliate ground

Condition

In good overall condition, the blade with interspersed patches of oxidisation and discoloration, very light scratches to hilt, the section under the palmette pommel with screw possibly for holding in place, the scabbard with very few sections missing, revealing the textile-covered wood interior, minor dents in some places, as viewed.
