Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is an opaque varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating, however there do not appear to be any signs of retouching; UV examination does reveal areas of fluorescence which relate to the uneven varnish, notably along the left edge. There is a paint loss to the lowermost central flower where the impasto is thickest, and a few fine lines of paint shrinkage and craquelure in places. There are a few fly spots in places. The canvas is slightly undulating. This work is in overall good condition.
