Condition
The canvas is laid down on paper, laid down on canvas. There is an opaque milky varnish preventing full penetration of UV light. However, UV examination reveals spots of retouching in places, including to the woman's face, cap and wrist, and some lines to the extreme upper right corner. There are some fine and stable lines of craquelure in the blue and white pigments. This work is in overall fairly good condition.
