Condition

The canvas is not lined. There is a layer of milky varnish preventing the UV light from fully penetrating. There is some wear to the extreme corners and a minor spot of paint loss to the left part of the lower edge. There are areas of paint shrinkage to the black stripes of the figure's jumper as well as to the green background in the lower left quadrant. There are fine lines of stable craquelure to the upper left quadrant as well as some fine lines to the sitter's face. There is some unevenness to the paint surface pertaining to the uneven weave of the canvas. This work is in overall good condition.
