Condition

The medium is watercolor on paper laid down on paperboard. The paperboard is about 1/2 in. thick and apparently varnished on the top surface. The left edge measures 43.4 cm and the right edge is 43.1 cm. The work is in good overall condition. There is a .5 in. tear in the left edge 2 in. from the bottom; there is a .5 in. tear in the extreme upper left corner; there is a .5 in. repaired tear at the top edge, right of center. In the center, about an inch below the top edge there is a very faint horizontal scuff about 4 in. long. There is some extremely minor frame abrasion to the top edge, mostly at left, some mat stain, and the colors have faded somewhat from light exposure though they are still strong and appear fresh. The work presents very well.
