Condition

The medium is brush and grey ink on paper. The work is in good overall condition. The paper is archivally mounted to a backing sheet (photos available from department). There are some handling creases throughout and two small repaired tears at the upper edge, as well as a small nick in the lower edge. There are some traces of old foxing, and some uneven staining, with some small areas of minor discoloration in the lower right corner and a faint area between the figure's hands. There is some gentle mat and light staining. The medium is strong and the work presents very well.
