  • Silver-gilt, Pink Gold and Ruby
The silver rectangular case decorated with pink gold top of pierced floral motif, highlighted with cabochon rubies, the silver-gilt thumbpiece pushed open to reveal three compartments, one lipstick holder and one cylindrical container with a cigarette holder, signed Boucheron, Paris, numbered, French assay and maker's marks, measurement approximately 130 x 85 x 20mm, gross weight approximately 530 grams, with fitted bag stamped Boucheron.

Condition

Signed Boucheron, Paris and numbered BT No. 875012 and 61.176, with French assay marks for silver and French maker's marks. The pierced floral motif top in pink gold as tested. Rubies weighing approximately 0.80 carat, red to purplish red of medium to strong saturation, with typical surface reaching inclusions, chips, nicks and some with minor abrasions. The hinges of the mirrored doors are tightly fit and at the point of cataloguing, cannot be opened. The right compartment's lid is slightly bent and required some force to be opened. Signs of minor wear to the metal, one side corner of the lid with a few minor tool marks, in fair condition.
