  • Yellow Gold, Diamond, Ruby, Onyx
The brooch designed as a playful kitten in curled up position, embellished with circular-cut diamonds, onyx-set eyes and ruby-set nose, signed VCA, numbered, French assay and maker's marks; the pendant designed as an elephant with glazed body, accented by circular-cut and free-floating collet-set diamonds and rubies, signed Chopard, numbered and maker's mark for LUC; mounted in 18 karat yellow gold.   (2)

Condition

The 'Cat' brooch, signed VCA and numbered 89 B1372 I 6, the pins with French assay marks for gold and French maker's mark, stamped 18Kt for 18 karat yellow gold, inscribed with 0.33 Ct referring to the weight of the diamonds. Diamonds are about E-F colour, VVS-VS clarity, as graded in the mounting. One onyx eye is chipped on one end. The 'Elephant' pendant, the bail can be opened to be worn as a charm, signed Chopard and numbered 5058, with maker's mark for LUC, stamped 750 for 18 karat yellow gold. Rubies weighing approximately 0.20 carat, red to purplish red colour of medium strong to strong saturation, with typical inclusions and a few are surface reaching. Diamonds weighing approximately 0.40 carat, are about G-H colour, VVS-VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. . Both with signs of minor wear to the metal, in very good condition.
