Condition

Overall in good condition. The screen presents with two very different designs on each side: one with deer in a snowy forest landscape, executed in eggshell, the other with flowers and foliage. The lacquer with a few light surface scratches and very small abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. The edges with a few scattered losses to the lacquer, all minor, the largest measuring The two outermost vertical edges of the have been sensitively restored and the restoration is only visible under black light. The "Biches" side with some areas where the eggshell and lacquer have been sensitively stabilized, only visible under black light. Two minor and sensitively undertaken restorations to the right side of the right "Grass" panel, one adjacent to the upper right edge, the other to the center of the upper portion, approximately 2x3 in. A spectacular work with two extremely different sides, epitomizing Dunand's aesthetic and influences.
