Condition
Overall good condition. The wood surfaces have been refinished and present with some surface scratches, abrasions and surface dirt consistent with age and use. Some edges of the armchairs with concentrated wear visible on the catalogue illustration. The wood with some minor age cracks which do not affect the soundness of the chairs, concentrated to the back of the chairs. The front corners of the seats with a few minor cracks inherent in the making. As seen on the catalogue illustration, the wood of one side chair is slightly lighter than the other three. The brass surfaces with surface scratches, minor abrasions and some discolorations consistent with age and use. The chairs have been reupholstered with dark brown velvet which is in good condition, slightly detached along the proper right upper edge of the back rest of one armchair, which could easily be fixed. Great examples of a very elegant model by Hoffman in good condition.
