the rounded sides rising from a tapered foot to a slightly flaring rim, the interior painted with a roundel enclosing butterflies fluttering around peonies issuing from pierced rockwork, above two grasshoppers, the exterior similarly painted, with an underglaze blue six-character mark within a double circle

Condition

The dish is in good condition with the exception of a polished shallow 1cm., wide chip to the bottom of the foot and very minor glaze scratches.
