the rounded sides rising from a square base to square shoulders and a circular straight mouth, each face painted with four boys at play in a garden beside rockwork, below leafy and flowering branches, with a band of meandering lotus, peony and chrysanthemum at the shoulder, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character reign mark within a double square, wood cover

Condition
This vase has a replaced inset mouth in biscuit and three cracks running through the corners of of the body, one diagonal (10cm), a lighter (6cm) one above this and the third associated with a chip to the other side (5cm). There is also a firing crack running across each corner of the foot rim and there are also some shallow glaze chips to the corners of the body.
