modelled standing on a lotus base, wearing a long robe open at the chest to reveal the beaded necklace, the face with meditative expression and gentle smile, framed by long pendulous earlobes and tightly knotted hair, the reverse with the apocryphal signature He Chaozong, later carved wood lotus stand

Condition

This figure has been restored at the neck and also has a chip to the back of the base (8mm by 8mm), and a number of large firing cracks to the interior base, one with an associated shallow chip (1.2cm by 8mm). There are also two small firing cracks to the top of the right forearm.
