Description

  • stoneware
of circular form, the domed cover moulded with a pair of phoenix in flight, covered overall with a transparent glaze pooling to a light blue in the recesses stopping short of the edge on the cover, the raised interior rim and base left unglazed revealing the pale body

Condition

There is a small chip to the rim of the cover and the rim of the box, as well as minor fritting to the edges of the box.
