Description
- bronze
the rounded body raised on a spreading pedestal foot and applied with two loop handles, with a band of densely arranged S-scrolls, with descending pendant blades, the cover with two similar bands and a band of concentric dragons to the everted finial, pale green patina
Provenance
A Swedish Private Collection, acquired in the 1970s.
Condition
There is restoration several areas on the cover and there are also some cracks evident around these areas. There are also two small holes to the finial to one side. There is restoration to several areas on the body, around the handles and to the lower areas and to where the foot is joined to the body. There is a small chip to the rim (5mm by 5mm) and a dent to the foot, (6mm by 3mm).
