potted with a slender ovoid body surmounted by a tapered neck, the lower neck with rounded steps, applied overall save for the base with a warm copper-red glaze, the countersunk white base inscribed with an apocryphal underglaze-blue six-character Xuande mark within a double-circle, wood stand

Condition

The mouthrim has a slightly polished section of approx. 1.5 cm, as well as a glaze flake of approx. 0.3 cm with associated tiny glaze bruises and crackles, possibly due to original firing. There is also a minute stained glaze flake to the underside, but otherwise the vase is in overall good condition with typical insignificant surface scratches.
