Description

set with gilt biscuit dragon-form handles and lion-dog knops, the base of each vase painted with an artemisia leaf.

Condition

Covers slightly ill fitting and of slightly different color. The covers possibly originally from a pair of baluster vases, the present vases possibly not intended to have covers. One cover has a shallow chip under the rim edge. The biscuit lions on the covers and the dolphin vase handles all have typical wear and loss to the cold gilding. Vases both have minor rim frits, otherwise in good condition.
