Description

Set with a natural pearl of grey tint measuring approximately 11.14 - 11.22 x 14.77mm, to a surmount set with rose diamonds, a step-cut ruby and black enamel, French import marks.

Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 87121, stating that the button-shaped drilled pearl was found to be natural, saltwater, with no indication of artificial colour modification. French import marks for gold and silver. Pearl of oval shape, grey body colour with strong green and rose overtones, slight pitting to the nacre with one small dimple, medium lustre, the bottom of the pearl set with a rose diamond. Ruby of medium purplish red, transparent, typical inclusions visible under magnification, abrasions and minor chips to facets and facet edges consistent with age and wear. Damage to the black enamel on the surmount, in particular to the upper section, scratches consistent with age and wear. Diamonds bright and lively. Scratches to metal consistent with age and wear.
