-signs of restoration can be found at the bottom, where there appears to be paper crack previously. Foxing and minor creases can be found on both the painting and poetry hall, which can be improved by restoration. Otherwise, generally in fair to good condition.

上款：「任先」即陳籙（1877－1939），字任先，號止室，福建侯官人，民國時期外交家。一九○一年畢業於武昌自強學堂，後負笈法國，獲巴黎大學法律學士學位。返國後投身外交界，一度代理外交總長，亦曾出使法國。抗戰期間，委身敵偽，出任「維新政府」外交部長，一九三九年遇刺身亡。
