Description

  • porcelain, bronze
comprising a pair of rouleau vases, the central section incised with large lotus blooms below a band of stiff overlapping plantain leaves; two bottle vases of globular form with long cylindrical necks, incised with three large lotus blooms and mounted on a gilt-metal stand; a gourd shaped vase; a washer in the form of a conch shell; a bamboo shaped brushpot, and a faceted tea caddy, all covered in varying shades of turquoise blue

Condition

These are in good condition except for on of the gilt-bronze mounted bottle vases has a chip to the rim (1cm by 6mm), the bamboo form vase has a 7cm curved crack and small associated chip at the rim and the shell-form bowl has a 1.5cm area or restoration to the rim.
