the central wreath surrounding two armorial devices of the families PAYER de FLAACH, of Schaffhausen and the ZOLLIKOFER, of St. Gall and inscribed 16.BP.00, on a ground of scrolling foliage, the borders with scenes of seasonal activities and inscribed with the names of the seasons in German, the corners incorporating archangels within foliate wreaths, with fringe border.

Condition

Losses and wear throughout. Areas of restoration throughout (to stabilize open or bald areas). Some fading and dark areas. Needs minor cleaning. New backing. Fringe possibly later. Can be hung. Image in catalog is a more golden color than actual textile.
