Sale, Naples, Blindarte, 11 December 2011, lot 130, as 'attributed to Pietro Bardellino'.
Condition
Both paintings have rather firm relinings, the paint surfaces are relatively clean and the varnish is clear and even. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals pinprick spot retouchings scattered throughout both paintings. In the Allegory of Peace there is an area of retouching, measuring approx. 5 x 5 cm. in the lower arm of the putto on the right. The paintings are otherwise untouched and in very good condition.
