Condition

This impressive commode is in good conserved condition with some visible repairs and very small losses to veneers, namely to edges of drawers and to edges of apron. There are marks and scratches consistent with age and use. The marble appears to be original but has been broken and repaired. The gilt-bronze mounts have been re-gilt with a varnish that has given them a slightly textured surface; nonetheless, they appear to be original to the piece.
