Description
- Pine, parcel-gilt, upholstery, fabric
each with rectangular back, armrests and seat upholstered in ivory and gold damask silk, the armrests in the shape of swans

Condition
This pair of armchairs is in good conserved condition. The gilt and painted surface is worn throughout, and there are marks, scratches, and flaking consistent with age and use. The seat rails of both have been reinforced. The back of one with a small repaired and secure breakage. The later fabric with minor staining, as expected. There are traces of old woodworm which appears to be no longer active.
