Description

  • Gilt-brass, walnut, elm, pine
  • 100cm. high, 154cm. wide, 64cm. deep; 3ft. 3¼in., 5ft. ¾in., 2ft. 1in.
of arbalète shape, the moulded serpentine shaped top above two small drawers above three long drawers, with concave shaped sides, on bracket feet 

Condition

This impressive commode is in restored condition, with marks and scratches consistent with age and use, and old restorations throughout, namely to the veneer and to old woodworm holes that have been filled. The top presents discoloration and staining throughout and requires atention; the right return has one vertical shrinking crack. The front with restorations; the bottom drawer is missing its left brass handle.
