Description

- 91cm. high, 148cm. wide, 62cm. deep; 3ft., 4ft. 10¼in., 2ft. ¼in.
the grey marble top above three small drawers and two drawers sans traverse, inlaid with geometric decoration and cornucopia, on square tapering feet; restored
Condition
This rare commode is in reasonable condition. The marble top has minor chips to the edges. The sides show restorations to the veneer, and one missing gilt-bronze roundel each; the left return has minor losses overall. The central frieze drawer is slightly loose. The front of the commode with losses to the mounts, and one roundel missing from the frieze. The bottom drawer is also missing one handle. There are shrinking cracks to the central ressaut, and the veneer has been secured in places. The gilt-bronze is slightly tarnished overall.
