FR : Très bon état général. Très légère usure à la patine sur les arêtes supérieures de la base et sur des côtés de la partie inférieure. EN : Very good overall condition Some really minor wear to the patina at the top edges of the base and to the front right lower corner.

The plaster for this cast is a reduction of the 'Hippopotame' conceived for the Exposition Coloniale of 1931. Some post-mortem casts have been realised starting 1945 by René Demeurisse, the executor of François Pompon
