Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although there are fewer red undertones in the original and the catalogue illustration fails to fully convey the reflective mirror of the figure's eyes.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. There are some fine cracks to the soot, which is in keeping with the artist's working process. Extremely close inspection in raking light reveals some minor and unobtrusive surface scratches and handling marks in isolated places to the photograph, and some further unobtrusive handling marks to the extreme horizontal outer edges of the frame.
