Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although there are more blue nuances in the smoke in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Extremely close inspection reveals a very fine, stable and unobtrusive tension crack running intermittently along the extreme outer edges. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.

Catalogue Note

“I did them because I was intrigued with smoke and coming in close on the mouth. I didn't start the mouth paintings to be erotic. I started them to be just a mouth, that's all.”
