Probably presented by Queen Victoria during her 1855 visit with Prince Albert to Emperor Napoleon III and Empress Eugenie in Paris. The state visit, from August 17 to 28, was in return for Napoleon's visit to London earlier that year,

cover and base in good condition, front and side panels with some enamel loss to lower parts, also at corners, otherwise good,
