the first with scene of a Russian village painted en plein, applied with varicolor gold initial and dedicatory red gold inscription to an employee of the Amur Railroad, February 1914, the sides, back and interior wiith engraved facsimile signatures, gold-mounted red hardstone pushpiece, 84 standard, Jones inventory number 21, the second with en plein scene of three women before a soldier, above frieze of polar bears on green ground, surrounded by foliate ornaments on blue ground, red cabochon pushpiece, 84 standard, Jones inventory number 35

the figural case with minor chips and restorations mostly at angles, the landscape box with a dent at side top, otherwise good condition
